The JCSWV App was designed with busy families in mind! Access information like daily lunch menus, bus status, and school news.
We've made recent updates to the app that might create issues with receiving notifications. If you downloaded the app prior to September, try uninstalling and reinstalling then allow notifications to make sure you have the latest features.

Information about school closings, safety, transportation, child nutrition, and any other urgent matter that affects students will be shared through a text message.
Jefferson County Schools has a number of ways to share information with students and their families, but sometimes we need to connect quickly and directly. In those instances, any cell phone number connected to a student through one of our schools can receive text message alerts.
If you are uncertain about the status of a phone number, please contact the school where the student is registered.
Jefferson County Schools understands that you won't always be near a computer or have access to the internet, so when there is a change in school status or school schedule you can always call the JCS Hotline at 304-885-5105. Check the JCS Hotline for other important information throughout the year.
Canvas is a learning management system (LMS) that allows teachers to provide instructional support, class calendars, assignments, and resources for students in a safe online environment. For traditional face-to-face classes, Canvas is an integral part of sharing blended classroom instruction. Canvas is the best way to communicate directly with a student's teacher.
