What is an ECCAT?
ECCAT stands for Early Childhood Classroom Assistant Teacher. This position falls under the service classification of an aide. This classification is a certification achieved by completing the required coursework from the WV Learns e-learning program offered by the West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE).
I was fresh out of college and this was my first teaching job. Lisa took me under her wing and taught me the ropes. Now it's kind of an unspoken language that we have.
