SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- The Jefferson County Board of Education named Scott Campbell the new principal at Shepherdstown Elementary School on Monday.
Campbell joins Jefferson Count Schools with a strong educational background and experience as an educational leader. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations from West Virginia University, a Bachelor's Degree in Health and Physical Education from Shepherd University, and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Wheeling Jesuit University
He worked as a Health and Physical Education Teacher at Spring Mills Middle School from 2009-2013.
Campbell served as an Assistant Principal at Musselman High School from January 2020 to the present, where he managed disciplinary measures and attendance, observed and evaluated CTE/Science,/Fine Arts, served as teacher hiring coordinator and was liaison to juvenile drug court and teen court.
Campbell says the opportunity to return to elementary school and be a principal is exciting.
"I am eager to begin my new role as Principal at Shepherdstown Elementary School. I have many fond memories of living and working in Shepherdstown as a student at Shepherd University. Now, having the opportunity to come back to such a kind, welcoming, and creative community is truly thrilling. I look forward to working with teachers, staff, parents/guardians, and community members to motivate our students to achieve their maximum potential."
